This part is for everyone.
All of the types have to be super effective to one, and only one, of the other types. And example that isn't fire/water/grass is steel/rock/fire ,steel is SE on rock and resists it, rock is SE on fire and resists it, and fire is the same for steel.
So it has to work like that to be considered a perfect triangle and the reason the use fire/water/grass every time is because they follow this pattern and are the most 'basic' elements. Either that or it's one of GF's 'muh consistency' like pika clones and early route bug/bird.
