Why does a physical representation of emotion have such an unfortunate form?

I mean I like her as a sister/broand all but sometimes you have to ask why they decided to go with this design instead of, say, some kirby enemy

There are Pokemon that can use aura (any Pokemon that learns Aura Sphere), and Pokemon that can see/sense auras (Medicham and Cutiefly).

Lucario just happens to be the only Pokemon that do both. Lucario isn't the only Pokemon with aura abilities, it's just the best at using them.
