What are your pokemon and levels currently?
Red can be beaten with a team of 50-60s without too much difficulty given you aren't using a meme team.

Trade them to Platinum and grind the postgame areas or rematches. You can get stuff up to level 70–80 very easily in Sinnoh.

All my Pokemon are in the early to mid 60s and I challenged the Elite Four again. I made it all the way with no issue, and with some tricky switching I almost beat lance if it wasn't for his Garchomp. I kinda took that as "I'm not quite ready."

Which is why its fully possible to beat using a team of 50-60s as long as you aren't using shitmons as well.

Yes I remember using a action reply to steal reds pikachu in SS later on traded the fucker to BW2 then to Pokemon y and yeah the stats and moves on it are weird like focus punch for example but it's for sure fun to use

If he used AR to steal, he used it to fix the moves too. Pikachu's moveset in HGSS is Volt Tackle
