It's a pretty balanced system as far as I can tell. You need to have a level 100 Pokemon, so it's not going to be fast or easy to max out a Pokemon's IVs unless it's one you frequently use. I have a level 100 shiny Sandslash that has a good nature but meh IVs, so I'm happy that they added this feature.

Further, the gold caps will likely be rare. Making Breeding the fast, tedious way to get 6 IV, while caps would be the slow, mildly interesting way.

Say you get a random shiny with shit Nature and IVs, in gen 7 you will be able to make it's IVs good, maybe in gen 8 we'll have a Nature Capsule that would make that shiny into an actually good pokemon. Of course it's still going to lack egg moves but some pokemon still work without them.

As a breederfag myself I'm happy about this. Now I'm just hoping for Capsules that instead of increasing a stat, decrease it, that would be even better.

2. Only have to breed for 0 in 2 stats, and that doesn't apply to too many Pokemon. Plus you can garuntee a stat of your choice, but only one, for the offspring to have (see macho brace and friends). And egg moves, again, only on some Pokemon.
3. Natures, also really easy
So for shiny hunters it's fantastic
