The genies are a key piece of balance that nobody sees.

They maintain the top threats in check while having regular counters, but people still hate them.

They are bound to always help the meta while being overshadowed with hate for detroying it. The genies really are the true heroes

By banning all of them because a handfull are overpowered you completely remove the chance of other less usefull legendaries ever being used.

Some people just wan to use regigigas because they like it, if you just ban all legends it would be unfair to them.

This is why smogon tiering is conceptually better than VGC's fuckfest
