If you could name one small feature you'd really like to see in SM.

For me it would be Pokemon being able to evolve during battles, possibly giving the player an extra boost of power during a tough battle.

If I had to pick another, it'd probably to return seasons, though maybe make it change every day to make it less tedious. Maybe every week at most.

Ability to change trainer and Pokemon names, though maybe not constantly or easily. Or maybe just a way to change names of Pokemon from other countries to its name in your own country. Tired of moon rune Pokemon.

Better features in WT like a way to report names, or a way to mark people who send garbage so you know to go do something better for the next minute or so and not have to watch as you get your 10th Zigzagoon of the night.

I want seasons to come back, but I guess that wouldn't make sense given it's summer all the time in Hawaii, I guess gen 8 or the gen 4 remakes. Also fix it to mirror the season changes in the real world and not the crappy season changes like how it was handled in gen 5.

They should just put all 4 in appropriate climate zones honestly. It doesn't make much sense to not include the other variants. They could have easily put Autumn in route 15+16 and Winter at route 17 or that snow cave in X/Y.

I also thought it would be cool if you could see overworld sprites of Pokemon you've placed in the daycare, but that isn't as high on my 'superficial changes' wishlist

Easier shiny encounter rate with a 2nd, much rarer shiny color. (example: Arbok gets a red&black shiny.)

Does anyone else think a temporary-evolution held item that functions like mega evolution would be RAD AS HELL ingame? Like long before you even have fully-evolved pokemon to evolve beyond the real maximum, you could have your level 16 Wartortle use the team's evolution action to be a Blastoise for the remainder of the fight. Would be such a natural progression into the mega evolution battle style that develops later in the game.

Well considering every game wants to stand out as unique, we can't borrow too much from other gens. Sun and Moon seem very nature-focused so we could find something to work with there.

So i guess i'd like to see some more interaction with the environment. So many interesting landscapes, maybe have the pokemon exit their balls when using a HM and begin a cool animation with each obstacle.

Likewise, things like cut trees, strength boulders or even ocean water could all have different shapes/colours to reflect the different locations and environments. I think that would be really neat.
