Instead maybe they should change the mechanic, that a dual type Pokemon has a primary type, and a secondary type, and that it takes more depending on which is which.
So like a Pokemon like Gligar is Ground Flying, his primary is Ground so it would take the regular SE damage on that, however Flying would be secondary so SE moves would only do .5x extra damage instead of double. So an Ice move would do 2.5x more damage, while a fighting type move would do .75, or maybe .66.
This would really change the dynamic of every single Pokemon. Some would benefit greatly from this [Pokemon that tend to have 2 really shitty types, would not longer be AS shitty, like Parasect for example].
