anyway the time as of right now is this
>gen 1 + gen 3/ORAS>sometime after Colosseum happens>three years after gen 1/3/ORAS gen 4/2 happen>two years after pokemon gale of darkness happens (since its five years after Colosseum)>unspecified time gap>black and white happen>two years later black and white 2 happenAnd then x/y happens but I believe it's up to debate if it happened at the same time as black and white 2 or if it was after another timegap.
Anyway, ORAS sorta took ruby/sapphire/emeralds place in the timeline with some retcons, but since ORAS doesn't have a middle game there's no real cannon story between the two, were as heart gold and soul silver managed to have the plot of crystal with a few small version differences that only affected available mons.
Anyway tl;dr there is actually a timeline of events but it never gets used and can clearly be altered to however gamefreak feels so it doesn't matter much
