>>28117112If you trade them up to the next region they'll stay in Alola form obviously. If they're female and you breed them, the offspring will be Alola form too, even if the Alola form is exclusive to a later stage of evolution.
Next gen will either discard this gimmick like 90% of other gimmicks the series has introduced, or else it'll have [new region] forms of Gen 2 Pokemon.
Or maybe they'll do Sinnoh remakes and have Sinnoh Forms of other gens than Gen 1, the Sinnoh dex could definitely use some padding out.
