Can someone redpill me on eggs and moves? I'm a bit of a Pokemon n00b.

Let's say I have a male and female Lapras and I want it to learn Horn Drill, do I just put them both in the daycare and the resulting Lapras that will hatch from said egg will have the Horn Drill move?

My current team is:

>Typlosion
>Pupitar
>Lapras
>Victreebell
>Ampharos

I just caught the Pupitar at the Safari Zone and I'd like to breed it, I'm just before the last badge but I'd like to get all my breed moves before I move any further and maybe breed Chanseys too.
