I never got why they do such random shit sometimes. It didn't have a drastic color change in its non shiny form, just went from one shade of green to another, so why would the shiny not follow a simmliar pattern?
Although I shouldn't complain, I like golden Azumarill far more than a potential mint green one that kept shiny Marill's color scheme.

Honestly, the thing that pisses me off the most about this ( besides the fucking disgusting green color ), is that the two evolutions before Nidoqueen had a theme going. They were colored like Nidoran and Nidorino! They switched color pallets, which is a neat concept! Purple Nidoqueen!
