Emolga (no large tail) and minnico (not an electric type) have 4/5 of these traits, so they can both be considered pikaclones

That would be 1/6 of all Pokemon.

A Pikaclone has to actually look like a Pikaclone, and the most defining trait of that is the cheeks. Pic related are Pikaclones of gen 2-6, literally nothing else is.

There's now a move called Nuzzle that's exclusive to Pikaclones. They rub the electric pouches on their cheeks against the enemy to Paralyse them. Damaging Thunder Wave, basically

Now, trade evos that require specific held items, I can understand.

Strangley I'm okay with Shiftry as he is and don't mind if he never gets a mega. All I would really want is some more interesting moves. He recently got Hurricane and Defog.

Nah, it's not a matter of procurement, I just tend to dislike stone evos because of how they work. That is, when you evolve one, they lose any sense of level up moves save for like 4 you can heart scale. So if you want a move that it learns as its prevo, you gotta stick with that prevo for however long it takes

Ah that's right, Sucker Punch can only be taught to Shiftry via move tutor in HG/SS, so it would be incompatible with Leaf Blade since it can only learn it as a Nuzleaf in Gen 6.

Oh well, there's always Seed Bomb. I wonder what crazy shit they can give him in Sun and Moon.
