I'm actually the kind of person that, while I might see some starters as either male or female, when I think about them having a possible opposite gender, I actually don't have that much of a problem because when you think of animals in real life in hindsight, it makes sense for something like Emboar not to give its gender straight away. When you look at a female emboar in real life without knowing its gender, can you really tell its gender? Or a pitbull or a rottweiler. Any kind of animal that doesn't necessarily scream feminine, geez. Same can happen to the opposite gender. Shit can also kind of apply to the pokemon world as well. It's not rocket science, it's just common sense.
For crying out loud, I didn't mind having a male Meganium at fucking all. It's just a fucking dinosaur when you think about it, it just happens to have a flower around its neck, but that doesn't mean the species is strictly female.
Even crazy shit like female Machamp makes some sort of sense when you consider that there are female body builders.
