>>28185991>made game too difficultI didn't even say anything like that. I feel like you're misinterpreting my post just for the sake of shitposting.
Let me explain it like I would explain it to an idiot:
RBY and FRLG are both outdated. Both of them. However, with RBY I don't have to pay attention to awful natures or abilities that potentially ruin the Pokemon. This makes the games more simple, and this simplicity is something that I enjoy very much when I'm in the right mood. When I want to go back to basics and play super casually, I play RBY. This is something that I can't do in FRLG, but the games are still outdated, just like RBY. This doesn't really give me much reason to go back to FRLG. If I want to play a good, up-to-date remake, I play HGSS or ORAS.
Also, there's all the other stuff that I mentioned like better TM selection, the charm of older games and fucking around with glitches. If you still don't understand, then you're beyond my help.
>>28186065>Who worries about any of this for in game?I do, if it's something that actually ruins the Pokemon. For example, a speed lowering nature is very noticeable on a fast offensive Mon. I immediately notice when I'm slower than something that should be slower than my Pokemon. Rivalry on the other hand is a good example of an ability that pretty much makes a Pokemon unusable as you're dealing 75% of your normal damage roughly half of the time. Another good example is when my ex-girlfriend played HGSS and she had a Dewgong with a -SpA nature in her team. Because of that little decrease in its offensive stat, it just barely missed out on the OHKO against Lance's Dragonite and made the battle much more complicated. I very much want to avoid situations like this so I refuse to train Pokemon with a nature that ruins one of their most important stats (usually speed and either attack or sp. attack).
