But think of all the possibilities! We could have Pokemon based on a platypus, wallaby, numbat, pretty much every marsupial, kookaburra, cane toad, galah, sulfur crested cockatoo, frilled lizard, saltwater crocodile, emu, dingo, wombat, etc.
Not to mention all the cool places, like a city based on Sydney with an opera house, the outback, the Great Barrier reef, and maybe even a boat ride to Tasmania (with a Tasmanian devil-based Pokemon, of course)
A region based on Australia would have so much great stuff to work with
