>>28202414Not that anon, but no I don't think 721 is too much, and I don't think 1000 is too much either. I just don't want another XY where over half of such a massive number are catchable, it was way too many and unless you were gunning for completing that Pokedex you weren't going to see even some of the more common 'mons. I caught that Fletchling early on, and he kinda dominated, so I just kept on moving through the game and never even saw Pikachu or Eevee, all because I was just working my to the next town fighting whatever I happened to see.
I think the best would be 100 new Pokemon with a mix of about 100-150 others, getting a regional dex at 250ish. Introduce more regional forms to keep older "filler" mon more interesting like Dark Rattata, so we don't have 25% of the new dex bogged down by single Legendaries, the exclusives, and regionals, so that the healthy portion are new and interesting Pokemon.
Of course, that's just my opinion. I like having options, but I also like being forced into trying something new. A little contradictory, but I think some people would feel the same.
