>>28204069competitive viability is based off of stat totals, ability, and moveset, alolan forms don't seem to change stats positively too much so mr. mime takes a hit there, however because it has always been one of the odder mons their is a chance theyd give it some dope one of a kind ability and its always had a tricky movepool that makes someone think it could be good but as of yet has not been made to be. So to answer you, it could, but only in kind of a cookie cutter way with the same basic idea behind each one. also if it got a new ability it would probably be a stall ability so that could help with the way modern competitive game is
