The rest of the upgrades between D/P and Pt would be relatively easy to include. Plus they can cut dumb shit like the GTS building and put something useful there, and make the Poketch into something not disappointing.
If they can also cut the need for shit like defog and rock climb, it might even be the best remake (and I got so fucking bored of D/P/Pt and love OR/AS, so that is a big deal.)
That said, we don't strictly need a D/P/Pt remake yet. And as much as all the Alola form hating anti-genwunners would hate me for this, we need a GOOD version of R/B/G/Y for the 3DS. Can you imagine a well paced, feature complete, postgame filled Kanto? Especially if they have a better postgame than the Sevii islands.
It may not be the game we want or need, but it is the game we deserve.
