Pokemon like Mega Gengar, Mega Mawile and Mega Lucario who are too powerful for Singles can easily be dealt with in VGC/Doubles. MLopunny, Zard X, MSableye are top threats in OU yet how often do you see them used in VGC? In Gamefreak's eyes Megas aren't broken. A 6v6 Singles meta doesn't exist.
