Well, sure, but it'd be a lot of work and I doubt they'll do it.

Either way, in the very BEST case for Gamefreak by releasing a demo they've spoiled all of their file formats -- which means we have some period of time (about a month, I'd guess) to make viewing/editing tools for *immediate* datamining on official game dump/release.

I expect them to leave stuff in, though -- achieving the ideal case would be a fuckton of work and very hard to not accidentally forget about anything.

I unironically love the data mining time of ORAS demo. The Move Tutor leak actually got me more hyped then.
If you're mining, get me the full new TM list+pokemon that learn them, all the Z Crystals, the new Mega Pokemon, and base-stat of all found pokemon.
These are details that won't be revealed until the game is released that I need.

We got the following out of the ORAS demo, plus some miscellaneous less interesting stuff:

-Pokedex Preview Images for all mons
-Base stats/abilities/typings for all mons
-Item effects (but not names, prison bottle really only thing relevant)
-Interactions between new abilities and edge cases (IE, cloud nine/primal weather)
-Delta Episode was leaked as Zinnia was mentioned as a trainer
-Full encounter tables for the main game
-Trainer encounter tables for the main game

I've never understood this. I've been spoiling games for myself pretty much forever and it has never impacted my enjoyment of a game before. Least of all pokemon. I like to know what pokemon are available so i don't miss the ones i want for my teams. I like to know what they learn so i don't waste my time on trap options. I HAVE to know what my starter evolves into so I don't end up disappointed at level 36. I like to know if any of my old favorites made it into the game. I like to know if I'm buying the correct version. I mean, sometimes your starter choice impacts a legendary you get later on. There are so many merits to spoilers.

To be fair, it was the first worldwide demo GF ever distributed, and it seemed pretty rushed.

This time, they've got the experience of developing ORAS in their minds and how much spoilery shity was left between the nooks and crannies of the eshop demo for that game, such as Mega Evolution stat data and such.

This time, there will probably be more information security taken into consideration, and therefore it will likely be a true demo, simple glimpse of the type of gameplay we can expect to experience, with little to no data included in the coding that wasn't being actively implemented in the demo itself.
