>>28230562Wow, it's like you've never even looked at the emulation scene before. This is nothing surprising. It's a preliminary build that's just been released as a proof of concept. They've got the game running smoothly, if not fast and with minimal graphical errors and perfect sound. That's a *huge* accomplishment. They'll still need to optimize some processes and tweak a few things here and there to get it running stuff at regular speed, and it would still require a good computer to run at full speed, but damn if it doesn't look amazing so far.
Given, I think OP is being *far* too optimistic in thinking that it'll be ready to play Sun/Moon at launch at anything near full functionality. That's incredibly unlikely. Realistically it'll be some time next year or towards the end of this year when we get an update to get most stuff running smooth, and that will inevitably break some other games/functions, which will require another update, which will break *more* things, and so on and so forth. That's just how the emulation scene works. Either way, it's impressive to see X/Y running this well, and I look forward to seeing this come to fruition, if for nothing other than trying out games before I drop $40 on them. There's a lot of stuff for the 3DS and I've been burned by shitty games before.
