>>28234324Generally I agree with this but Cyber Sleuth is better than all Pokemon games on several counts:
+ Natures can be changed through items
+ Simpler EV system
+ No IVs
+ More engaging story
+ More engaging characters
+ Unconventional choice for starters
+ No time locked events or trade/socialisation-locked shit
+ NEW GAME PLUS
+ Functional Difficulty Levels (but only two, which are basically Normal:"ridiculously easy encounters, bosses are decent challenge and are the 'real' game" and Hard:"everything is a nightmare"
However:
- Conscious effort to pander to waifu crowd, though otherwise the main 3 female characters are actually quite good in Kyoko, Nokia Yuuko.
- Competitive could be great, but not enough people play it for there to be a real community
- The game mechanics will not be consistent between games, so who knows if the next Digimon Story will even be anything close to how this game plays
- Translation is hit-or-miss. Some bits are great, other bits are overly-literal, and some bits are plain memey for the sake of it.
Overall, the good definitely outweighed the bad for me. Solid 8/10.
