I wanted a female, of course, but I figured that I was lucky enough to get an Audino once, and after ten minutes of looking for a female, I decided to use it.
I always nickname my Pokemon. Played too many Nuzlockes, I guess. I'm an unoriginal hack, so I was going to name my hypothetical female Audino Joy. But since I only got a male, I named him Joseph. I've always thought it's a very soft, nice sounding name, befitting a pink, cute Pokemon like Audino. Eventually, when I got a full team, I swapped Joseph out for a Metang. But he was the last to leave my team, even after the point Surf became pointless. He never won any massive battles or anything. He was just super-useful, and I guess I fell in love with how handy Audino are, whether they're wild or caught.
Joseph's probably why Mega Audino's my favorite Mega, even though my favorite Pokemon is Sableye.
