I wanna use blaze chicken as a SD sweeper and I'm torn between Flare Blitz/Low Kick and Fire Punch/High Jump Kick as my STAB options. I'd rather not use Blitz and HJK together because it'll drop like a brick

Go with Low Kick and Flare Blitz. At least the recoil you will get won't be because of bad luck.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Most things one would target with HJK are heavy enough to get max power out of Low Kick anyway
