I agree. To be quite honest I'm thoroughly sick of the "MUH CUTE ANIMAL THING EVOLVES INTO A WORLD ENDING TESTERONE PUMPED ANIMAL THING" trend for starters. Delphox was a good start (kinda? I never evolved it past Braixen to be honest) but I'm thoroughly excited to have a starter that is aesthetically appealing without being an angry, spiky, muscular death beast.

It's a cool design, honestly it's my favorite out of the possibly leaked starters. Rowlett3 looks dopey and Lichalitten looks like some fucking Disney villain but Poppmaid is just fine.

I never felt Feraligatr ever gets much love despite being the only good Gen 2 starter that's still useful today.

Like it's way too insidiously useful. I'm currently running one with Sheer Force and a Dragon Dance set for my Unova playthrough and it kills things just as well, if not faster, than any of the pseudo-legendaries that's fit for the job.

Fucking love that beast too much.
