>>28246995Dont really get why it is that pokemon fans hold all monsters to the design standards and norms of pokemon. Yokai are supposed to look weird and sometimes gross. A lot of digimon are supposed to look like amalgams of junk data and the ones that look very mechanical and urban are because digimon has a built in technology theme, and the humanoid digimon are because digimon's style of evolution values humanoid shapes as more advanced.
Pokemon are animals, usually. They tend to be designed to fit into (a fantastical version of) nature. Yokai are spirits and digimon are data. They're all completely different.
