>>28257848Change FRLG with HGSS. Now let's compare both remakes:
FRLG
+New region to explore, it also introduced to the series regeneratable hidden items (First island's beach)
+First game that added images to items.
+Berry trees might not appear in this game but some wild Pokemon hold berries, and there's a place on Sevii Islands with regeneratable hidden berries.
+First game in which E4 and Champion have new teams when rematched
+Vs. Seeker let's you rematch any NPC Trainers.
-Remake of a region that appears at least on one game on every Gen before Gen V.
-New areas don't belong to Kanto region, because G/S didn't add new areas to Kanto.
-For no reason Pokemon like Psyduck/Slowpoke and Staryu/Cloyster, that were available in R/B were made version exclusive, and no online means that it was way harder to complete Kanto Dex.
-To communicate to R/S you must complete a sidequest.
HGSS
+Pokéwalker let's you get items and some Kanto only Pokemon before reaching Kanto
+Has a Battle Frontier, meaning that if you like to battle but don't like Battle Tower you have more options
+Any Pokemon in the first slot of your team will follow you outside of its Poké Ball.
+Has Gym Leader rematches
+Has Apricorn Balls and Park Balls (renamed Sport Balls)
+Between HG and SS you can catch every Pokemon from Gen I, Gen II AND Gen III (Regis must be traded or transfered from Hoenn though). Many Gen IV Pokemon can be caught here too.
-Some Pokemon are Pokéwalker exclusive and if something happened to it then you can't get them.
-NPC Trainers can be rematched on set days and time of the days
