They had an opportunity to do something really cool with Castform and have it evolve based on the weather into a Permanent Water/Normal, Fire/Normal and Ice/Normal types... Which could have been subject to Retcon, to Water/Fairy, Fire/Fairy and Ice/Fairy.
I love Castform, I just wish it was done justice.

I honestly did not know that you'd get both Shedinja and Ninjask upon Nincanda evolving while you have a slot open, until recently. I thought it was just into either Ninjask or Shedinja.
