Scyther wasn't good, Zard wasn't good, Dodrio wasn't good. Jolteon was good but very limited, Lapras was good but hardly broken, and Persian wasn't actually that good, despite STAB Slash.
As for in-game play:
Charizard is by far the worst starter
Lapras is underleveled shit and one of the worst picks possible for your water type due to it.
Persian is utterly mediocre for a very long time
Jolteon is good
Scyther is bad
Dodrio is solid but is pretty much just a Zard with a smaller movepool. Good as a Zard replacement if using another starter, shit on this team.
