We do, however, have Lava Trees. These are hardened lava molds of tree trunks, which wouldn't leave any genetic material to regenerate. However, it does present us with the possibility for tree-based Rock/Grass fossils or, since we're using igneous rather than sedimentary rock, fire type fossils.
