>>2826985624 here. I was there during pokemania, became a big fan when gen 2 started, but was too poor to play the games until I emulated the ones from gen 3 years later. I became a Hoennbaby and went crazy with ruby and emerald, but also finished red and crystal. Gen 4 was coming out, impossible to emulate, and I was losing interest.
I started playing gen 4 and 5 recently through emulator and I'm loving it. Probably won't be able to buy gen 6 and 7 games anytime soon, but it feels good to know I'll always have pokemon to go back to.
I don't care about feeling old, I want pokemon to outlive me so more generations can have it as part of their lives.
