There's literally nothing connecting Lucario specifically to anubis. People just assume it's a jackal because people have a mass need for pattern faggotry and it's vaguely the closest animal that it resembles, when really, it's just supposed to be a generic anthropomorphic canine. If I had to guess, I'd say wolf given the perked ears and personality traits Lucario shares with the general perception of a wolf's personality in pop culture, but even then I'd still say they probably didn't tie it that heavily to any specific animal.
People forget that these are monsters and they can sometimes just make shit up without any specific influence.
