I'll rephrase my statment. Most of the pokemon in the normal type category are not that different compared to what animal they're based on. This is why Type:Null is kind of unsettling. It shares qualities of Arceus (and others), but seems to be a failed experiment. To me it's more unsettling than the other artificial pokemon we have.
Type:Null seems to be a failed chimera. It brings up all sort of ethical questions. Do artificial pokemon gain consciousness? If so how? When splicing a pokemon you are, in theory, killing all the other pokemon you take parts of. So is killing 5 pokemon really worth it to create 1 ultimate pokemon? I could go on for ages. And these questions will probably never be answered, but it makes you think. It also makes think of the other artificial pokemon we already have.
