Shit taste lol. Gen 6 was objectively uncomfy for one reason: Gamefreak in their usual laziness kept the overworld isometric even though they transitioned to full 3D. Unlike say Genius Sonority's gamecube RPGs, where the 3D environments looked fluid and natural, X/Y/OR/AS had environments that looked blocky and repetitive to the point they ruined immersion.

I'm hoping SM don't force the grid onto a 3D world as blatantly as Gen 6 did, but the little we've seen from trailers looks like an improvement.

What do people have against Kalos? I genuinely found it to be a more interesting region that Hoenn and Sinnoh in virtually every way, much greater variety of locations and (marginally) better music.

I feel like Alola would be pretty comfy till the plot kicks in. The Aether Foundation, collecting Zygarde cores, Ultra Beasts.... all this abnormal stuff thrown in makes think that all there's gonna be a lot more "doomsday" type events in the game, and that they'll last longer than normal.

Nah. Kanto is fine for comfy. None of its cities are as ugly as oreburgh, sunyshore, veilstone or eterna, and has plenty of nature to the west, north and southeast.

Sinnoh instead has the flower paradise located between a factory and shibuya. It also has swamps, idols, rocks and dirt everywhere. Trash

Unova is a noisy theme park during rush hour and kalos is just shit.
