Stop being so insecure that you have to deny shit. Just play the damn game. Nobody cares. Plus, Pokemon is mainstream again after Go so it's pretty much socially acceptable. I'd say it's more immature to be so goddamn worried about what people think rather than just playing a videogame you like.
