What's even the point, why not just add more modes or features to the battle tower instead of making a dozen gimmicky spins on it

They've revealed more pokemon in this time frame than they did for BW, which had 150+.

I HIGHLY doubt we'll get near that, but 100-115 is within somewhat reasonable hopes.
