But make them look like squids, so when they "ink," they're just squirting condiments.

A Pokémon that's literally a condiment bottle would probably work best as a ghost-type, so that you could explain away it's appearance as being a possessed object. Maybe it's a ghost that haunts beaches, like Pallosand, and that disguises itself as condiment bottles on food carts to spread ill will to anyone foolish enough to trust a hot dog they bought at a beach. People in the Pokémon world don't get salmonella or diarrhea, they get ghosts in their gallbladder or whatever.
