A small thing probably nobody cares about, but I thought it was neat.
All the trial captains in the latest trailer are doing their type's Z move dance.

I don't think you fight them when you first meet them. You have to complete their trials.
But there could be actual battles later.

Granted theres the fact that each has a trial associated with them and those trials may vary in length, but its not unheard of for there to be a lot of leader-type trainers
