And people bitch about the region being boring or underutilized based on what it could have been, like larger more sprawling snow areas and what have you. As if those areas in and of themselves weren't innovative and utilized great to the extent that they were. First time going to the snow area was incredible and very memorable.
Also had the best Champion and champion theme in history.As someone who's played since Generation one in 1998 everyone who had been playing Pokemon up to that point and got on the DPPT boat would doubtfully agree it was an amazing time to be a Pokemon fan. The first entries into Gen 4 revitalized the series completely. DP have their flaws but Platinum made up for all of them. Sinnoh had excellent and very involved and expansive lore as well. It was probably the first entry into the series that was so ambitious in that sense.
