>>28362060I just watched the Kyurem vs. Keldeo one and loved it.
It has a small scale compared to other movies, the world is not in danger or anything, instead it's all about Keldeo's little journey and I think it was for the better, as it felt more "focused" than other movies that try too hard to be epic.
Kyurem is the antagonist but is not really evil, just an old dragon with a honor code, and Keldeo is the protagonist but very flawed and the one responsible for the conflict, wich made it interesting to me.
And the best part is that Ash & friends are pretty much plot devices, not forced main characters. One of my main problems I have with the movies is that they could be great if they stuck to their guns rather than pointlesly trying to tie with the anime.
The first few movie felt like a big deal back in the day because I thought they mattered to the anime, they should do more with the fact that they are self-contained.
