Probably collectable items (maybe daily event with a % chance) introduced in Gen 7 through interaction in Amie, probably reserved for few mons, I guess chance to obtain Stardust or something like Dragon Scale from Seadra.

The Gen V one takes levels of your Pokemon into account. So if your level 20 Ivysaur beats a level 50 Blastoise it would get more experience than a level 49 Venusair.

Mine is a Scizor from a pre-owned copy of FireRed. Her OT is NARUTO and she's the only Pokemon I brought up to Diamond before clearing the cart.

I don't know why but I just felt like I wanted something from NARUTO's journey to live on.

Plus we really don't know much else.

We know that beans replaced puffs, and that you can groom your Pokemon.

Though we don't know to what grooming really does. I doubt it'll be anything cool sadly.
