>>28378904>There's no physical/special splitI don't really see this as an argument. Sure, they play differently, but I don't see this one gameplay feature as a reason to remake anything. Besides, I actually enjoy it to some extent, as you have to think somewhat differently when playing them. I'm not arguing that the split was bad (it sure made much more sense), but I don't see how much this would contribute to the game.
>it doesn't run on the 3DSIf they had GBA VC on the 3DS, I guess they could just slap that on it. That is not the case, but I would welcome it all the same. I would rather have a VC version (same for RSE) than a remake.
>A fully 3d game that actually reimagines the region instead of just remaking it tile-for-tile is just what it needs.Looking at all previous remakes certainly doesn't make this seem very promising. While I agree that the entire region should be reworked for 3D, I'm skeptical about GF actually doing this. Looking at ORAS, which were a complete failure at this, I'm not very positive. That said, with the style they're going for in SM, they seem to care less for this.
I'm all for making sweeping changes to remakes if they do decide to make them (of course, depending on the actual changes in question). HGSS is an example of games that failed to do so, and in my mind failed to realize why gen II worked so well, though this seems to be a opinion in minority in the general fanbase.
>It won't happen, but there's no reason why it shouldn't.I wouldn't rule it out, though I'm not sure if I would call it plausible in gen VII. I would rather have gen I re-remakes than gen IV remakes though. Just slap DPPt on the VC/for download, add Wi-Fi compatability and pokébank deposit option and you're done. No need for remaking.
