Historically America has produced terminology using words that have no relation to the subject which the terminology in question is made to refer to.
Example: "art-design" - used in place of 'aesthetics' when discussion things that are neither art nor design.
Example: "art-style" - used in place of 'technique' when discussing how something was drawn.
Those two are pretty common here and are 100% American in origin.
The other English speaking countries, the ones outside of North America, have no similar examples because any term established there is either the actual, proper word or a comical colloquialism.
There's no discrimination on the statement, it's an objective observation. If you were able to read English properly you wouldn't have made that mistake.

And the term in question is an unofficial term that commonly appears here: a website whose traffic consists mostly of American visitors, as well as other websites that are almost all of US origin.
