>>28384401As long as you caught it in Alola, I'd assume the game designers aren't that much of a jerk to introduce invasive non-Alolan born Pikachu into the wild of Alola, in order to screw over people wanting Alolan Raichu. That or maybe it's not that it being Alola makes only evolve into an Alolan form, but there's a different method to it, like using a different stone, or giving it enough pancakes in Pokemon Amie.
