Why i do find the main games so boring?

Literally the only thing that i enjoy in the main games are discovering the new pokemon,the rest is a boredoom.
Do you recommend me sun and moon? I don't have nothing better to do.

I know that feel OP. I always start a new game feeling good but it's not long before I feel burned out. I haven't replayed and completed a main series game multiple times since gen 4.

Looking forward to SM regardless because it looks like they're shaking things up quite a bit.

How i can like this series better?
As a kid i enjoyed it like crazy but now the only thing i enjoy are the new pokemon,what i can do i don't want to leave the series of my chilhood

If you dont like the main games play the spinoffs,i think a new rumble game should come out after sun and moon,i have a lot of fun in these even though i like the main series games a lot still and i am not that old(19)

if you dont mind not finding new mons the ranger games are my favorite spin-off series and shadows of almia is one of the best pokemon games i have played

Every single gaming franchise radically changed if you compare it to the original games. Some for the worse, some for the best. It wasn't the case with Pokémon. It is, basically, the same turn-based RPG, with the same type-advantage system and the same story. Of course, it got better. There are more Pokémon, better graphics, a more balanced gameplay, more types. But essencialy, it is the same game. And you got tired of playing it, like everybody else eventually does. It is fun to see the new Pokémon come out, though, I can't deny it.
