It's certainly possible it's Z-Move related. But I definitely don't think it's JUST exclusive Z-Moves. Maybe Z-Move activated formes.

Rockruff's evolution is a bipedal werewolf.

The collar, eyes, claws and chest piece change color based on the equipped z stone

Rockruff has a new move that changes type based on held z stone. This move becomes the type of the z stone, and is replaced by the powerful z attack when used.

The secret is Type: Null. The three Starters were gathered around Rockruff in a transmutation circle, with the goal to recreate Arceus. Through all of this alchemy mumbo-jumbo, the end result was Type: Null.

Alchemy was pretty much confirmed after all the AZOTH references.

that said Type: Null is likely not the answer. None of his features actually match them. It's all reaching.

I'd be more willing to bet Rockruff is like Eevee.

It's more likely his evolution is related to Z-moves and the typing he gains upon evolution is related to the stone equipped.

Owls don't have chitinous carapaces. It's legs are segmented. Skarmory is the only bird(-like) Pokemon with similar legs and it's made out of metal. It holds up until this. I mean, you can also bring up that sea lion fins don't look like that and it's more fish like what with how it's positioned, the fact that we can't really see anything of its face, but overall yeah it's a bit crazy as far as theories go. Arceus ring is undeniable though.

The biggest issue with the theory is the fish tail. Skarmory gives the legs certain leeway but gamefreak isn't dumb enough to fuck up basic biology that hard.

Even barring the trailers,because I agree they aren't proof, Arcanine classic has been featured in a Japanese Magazine and on the official site as an old friend returning in its old form.

The anon also had no fucking burden of proof. They were just an artfag drawing and telling /vp/ they had inside info. The three Chinese leaks all have correct information that make them relevant and the "Real Leaks" when they were posted the anon said that some of his information was false. Arcanine was one of those.
