Yea venusaur isnt a great looking pokemon, it looks like its full of boils and warts but if they had his design a bit different and had him on the cover them in sure his popularity would be better.
Most grass starters final evolution look like garbage except for serperior which has a clean regal look to it while the others just look too plain, bad or too bulky.
