>>28407842This looks like a good time to rant about design:
[autism]Look at the tail, legs, neck, etcetera. Literally a giant dinosaur with armor, maybe even fleshy/fat like the likes of Meganium or Charizard, who both are reptile-esque. Why do you think there are some thicc-obsessed faggots who post Giratina in those threads?
As for the face, it's just the regular Arceus/Dialga/Palkia face. The Origin form (which this one isn't, so it can't even get away with that) is simply the same dinosaur but getting rid of the legs to fly instead. It baffles me how can anyone see all that grey skin as chitin, specially after looking at the huge legs Giratina uses to walk on our world with that heavy body (and richard can support me on that claim), not bug legs used to climb surfaces and stand on top of branches.
Of course the outside armor parts might be insect-like, though it looks more like a metallic material (umm, Platinum?), including the helmet, but looking at Giratina's design it's very consistent with Dialga and Palkia, who are clearly reptillian. Everything points out to it being, y'know, not a giant centipede. For it being a realistic Pokémon, not only does it ignore the original design replacing it for a less cooler one, but it also makes the "realistic" design quite problematic for existing in the real world, while following a more usual approach with it would make more sense if you wanted to depict a creature that can live and walk in our earth's current conditions. I'm a biologyfag and that interpretation of Giratina triggers me like nothing else.
