Why do so many people here shit on Gen VI? X/Y were amazing. Kalos was beautiful, the music was great, and the Pokemon were pretty good. So, why?

I don't hate X/Y, the games were innovative and had some great ideas here and there.....but it definitely ranks as one of my least fave games.
Here's why~
1. Rushed story
2. Lack of postgame
3. 3 Annoying, cringe-inducing "rivals"
4. Team Flare and its motives were dumb
5. Only introduced 72 new mons
6. The game's A.I. were easy to beat, making it a boring, button spamming mess.

Again, I don't hate the Gen 6....I just find it one of the weaker set of games in the series.

Because there's very little side content and the maingame is the easiest other than the original RGB, and while RGB was easy due to inexperience, XY was easy by intentional design.

I enjoyed it plenty myself. Certainly more than BW1.

I actually really love X/Y and return to them most often when wanting to re-play games.

The only thing I find disappointing is the lack of difficulty and the surprising lack of megas even though it was a major selling point of the game. You rarely battle them, so using them just makes an easy game even easier.

If you count the 28 Megas of XY towards the total it gave us 100 Pokemon/forms to use, and 120 if you add in the Megas from ORAS.
I agree on every other point that this anon brings up though. My biggest gripe has to be the ease of the games, if they'd have carried over the difficulty options from BW2 and made them accessible from the start, the XY and ORAS would have been a lot more enjoyable.

That's why I said "Pokemon/forms" friend. Aside from that, the different Unown forms have no difference to them and add no variety besides being a different shape to one another. Megas changed up stats and abilities and add some extra flavor. Admittedly they would have added more if more NPCs besides evil team heads and champions used them, though.

not it wasnt, it could have been so everything looks so barren, the cities have zero charm aside from the last few (the fairy and ice gym towns)

X and Y were fucking bland as fuck, the games felt so unfinished and empty, the characters were crap and the only reason theyre not forgetable is because of the anime.
There were so little pokemon (though I'll admit there were a fair few good designs).
Kalos was the most uninteresting and boring region, it felt like areas were just slapped together with no real thought (the only areas I actually enjoyed was the Fairy town, snow area, Anistar, and the League - but my god the elite 4 was fucking terrible).
And dont even get me started on how fucking ridiculously easy the games were

I was cool with only new Pokemon since I only use Pokemon introduced with a region anyways, it was the rest of BW1 I didn't like. Easily my least favorite entry.

The EXP scaling would be perfect if it was merged with the Gen VI EXP Share so that like you can disable the sharing, you can use it to disable the scaling.

Is this bait or something? Unown forms are only an aesthetic change. Megas are different in terms of stats, typing, abilities, and play styles.
