You can get a Munchlax til Jan. 1st in Sun and Moon, and iirc, that can become a Snorlax that can use Snorlax's move "Pulverizing Pancake". Also Alolan Ratatta, Normal/Dark, was revealed.
There was a trailer that showed off two new pokemon Jangmo-o, a pure dragon type that a lot of people are speculating to be the Pseudo based on its description, and Type:Null, a chimera of sorts pokemon. Alolan Ratticate was also revealed. There was a few version differences between Sun and Moon shown besides the Cover Legendaries, particularly that Moon is 12 hours ahead of Sun, i.e. if you're playing at 1PM irl, it's 1AM in game for Moon, and it appears the Totem pokemon battles for each game are different (But this might also be just dependent on time). Within that same trailer there was the reveal of the Aether Foundation, a group of scientists that live on the artificial island, who's stated purpose is to care for injured or weak pokemon. The named members of the Aether Foundation revealed so far are Lusamine, Wicke, Faba. A lot of people are speculating the Aether Foundation is the true villains of Sun and Moon. An additional member of Team Skull, Gladion, who owns Type: Null was shown. Finally, the reveal of the "Ultra Beasts", a mysterious group of entities are "menacing the Alola Region". It is not currently known if UB-01 are anything akin to pokemon or if they're even anything more than a cutscene plot element. The one Ultra Beast reveled is UB(Ultra Beast)-01, which looks like some jellyfish thing.
Then there was a Japanese only trailer showing Samson Oak, Professor Oak's cousin, a fellow Professor studying Alola forms specifically. A short scene that hints at Cutiefly's evolution was also seen. And finally, the name Professor Burnet appeared in the trailer.
